Redefining the guest experience
As one of the top travel destinations in Europe, South Tyrol/Südtirol is also a pioneer when it comes to hospitality service quality. These days, that kind of excellence no longer becomes evident in personal contact only, but also in digital experiences. Guestnet was formed in 2022 as a spin-off of the Brixen/Bressanone-based digital agency Factory GmbH, founded by Hubert Rienzner and Martin Tauber. The idea was born straight from practice: guest communication at hotels should be easier and more digital. Pilot projects were implemented at strong partner hotels in South Tyrol at a very early stage, thus laying the foundations for the establishment of Guestnet.
From arrival to check-out
“From the start, our goal was to create a solution which supports the hosts while at the same time making the experience more convenient for the guests”, explains Martin Tauber, co-founder and managing director of Guestnet.
As a comprehensive guest experience platform, Guestnet is part of the whole process, from arrival to check-out. The central feature is a virtual concierge which guests can use conveniently on their smartphones. In addition, the platform offers room TV, info screens, or printing templates created in Guestnet. The automated guest login, a direct interface with the central hotel software, creates particular added value: guest can enjoy a personalised stay, view their activity bookings or spa treatments, and retrieve all information at any time.
Guestnet began as a spin-off of the Factory GmbH agency, which acts as a driver of digital transformation for its clients, but is now an independent company with a growing team of over 20 employees. The platform is available for hotels in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and an increasing number of other European markets.
The goal of this development is clearly defined: standardise guest information and service processes and make them more efficient. With its multi-channel approach, Guestnet can reach guests via all relevant media, all the while showing how South Tyrol and its digital hospitality create resonance far beyond the region and redefine the guest experience.
