Ever since it was founded in 1980, MiCROTEC has been a leading technology partner of the wood-processing industry, setting standards in the smart recognition of wood characteristics. The innovative spirit runs deep: back in 1985, MiCROTEC developed the first laser triangulation process for the 3D capture of wood surfaces; in 1995, the company introduced X-ray technology; and in 2011, it presented the world’s first and only computed tomography scanner for logs. MiCROTEC is with its customers every step of the way along the entire value chain—from the logyard to the finished product.
